Very polished and (mostly) satisfying UI, but I think the core mechanics need some work:
Notifications at the bottom of the screen constantly block the character from being seen, which can really make or break a run depending on its timing. I suggest you zoom the screen out so the player can see the entire room at any given time, and adding some bevels to fit in the UI and notifications. Attacking and moving isn't all that interesting either, and doesn't hook me in to play again after dying.
A few QoL tweaks can definitely make this game stand out more, as well as getting more experimental with the movement or attacks. It feels muddy to play and that's the last thing you'd want in a roguelike
